What Can You Do To Help End Human Trafficking and Slavery


  1. Learn more and tell others about human trafficking.  Introduce the issue to as many people as you can.  Spread the word and enable others to take on the inoscapable title of Abolitionist.
  2. Invite a speaker to educate your local faith or community groups.
  3. Be A Financial hero and donate to an abolitionist organizationl.
    • Create a “$3 For Free” campaign and promote your $3.00 -$10.00 monthly donation campaign to all your family, friends and contacts.
    • All the major organizations fighting Human Trafficking rely on donations.  Favorite organizations are International Justice Mission, Not For Sale, Free The Slaves and Love 14
  4. Support Survivors.  If you want to help those victims who have been rescued and now need your donations to help them create a new life, Transitions Global (www.transitionsglobal.org) has an amazing restoration model.
  5. Recognize and take notice of activities.  Don’t be afraid to report suspected activity to local authorities
  6. Support Fair Trade Purchases.
    • Buy and use the book - the better world shopping guide – use their website www.betterworldshopper.org
    • Buy Fair Trade Certified Products.
    • Create the demand for fair trade products by asking for fair trade products wherever you shop.
    • Give fair trade products made by survivors for your birthday, Christmas and thank you gifts.
    • Use www.goodsearch.com, powered by Yahoo has your default search engine.   Choose one of the abolitionist organizations and for every search you make, a donation will be made to the organization you chose.
  7. Become an activist and join the fight
    • Sponsor a Movie Night and show a trafficking film and have a discussion afterwards.
    • Create a fundraiser like a walk, dinner, etc and highlight one of the abolitionist organizations as the recipient of the funds raised.
    • Create specific legislative change to curb the demand and provide survivor services.
